To thank those who have been putting it on the line for us during COVID-19, Qatar Airways has announced they will give away 100,000 free tickets to frontline healthcare professionals.

Healthcare professionals from any country in the world are eligible for this offer. But to ensure there’s a fair distribution of said tickets, each country will receive a daily allocation depending on population size.

Every successful application for the Qatar Airways healthcare worker give away will earn a special promotion code. Whoever holds a code may book up to two (2) Economy Class return tickets on a Qatar Airways operated flight.

“We at Qatar Airways are incredibly grateful for the commitment and hard work of healthcare professionals around the world who looked after people in these times of uncertainty,” says Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive.

“Their heroic display of kindness, dedication, and professionalism has saved hundreds of thousands of lives around the world… United in dedication, we share our gratitude.”

As an added bonus, healthcare professionals will be offered a voucher which entitles them to a 35% discount at Qatar Duty-Free retail outlets. Not too shabby, indeed.

The Qatar Airways free tickets give away is now open for applications, all the way until May 18th 23:59 (Doha local time). Those who are eligible need to apply here – we don’t suggest waiting around too long.

In the event you do receive a promotion code, all tickets must be booked before November 26th of this year with travel valid until December 10th, 2020. Tickets will be fully flexible, with an unlimited number of destination/date changes allowed without any additional fees. Fare and surcharges will also be waived, though airport taxes will still apply.

Find out more about the give away in general via the official Qatar Airways press release at qatarairways.com.
