Longines’ continuous onslaught of exciting releases continued this week with a handful of new additions to the HydroConquest and Heritage collections including new watches, dials, materials, and updated movements. Australian pricing is live but local availability is TBC. Let’s dive into the latest Longines 2021 releases.

Longines HydroConquest Two-Tone

Longines has extended their 41mm HydroConquest collection with a series of two-tone pieces available with a steel and yellow gold PVD or steel and rose gold PVD bezel and crown. Offered in fan favourite green, blue, black, and grey, the two-tone pieces arrive with an updated L888 calibre movement, boasting an improved 72-hour power reserve.

Longines Legend Diver Gradient Dials

Longines are well aware they’re onto a good thing with the Legend Diver and hot off their excellent Legend Diver Bronze release comes two new gradient dials for their 42mm case – with a date. In addition to a black dial, a new brown or blue lacquered gradient dial with matching vintage brown leather or blue leather strap will tempt buyers. Only cosmetic changes have been made.

Longines Silver Arrow

For its newest Heritage model – a reimagining of the 1956 Silver Arrow – Longines has chosen a 38.5mm case, matching their Classic Tuxedo and Sector dial releases. Their recreation remains true to the original with a smooth stainless steel bezel and the angled lugs, ‘Silver Arrow’ logo, and undulating indices, while bringing modern-day legibility into the mix with Super-LumiNova elements incorporated into the chapter ring. A faithful and fantastic addition.

Longines Avigation BigEye Titanium

The real winner of the latest updates arrives in the form of the Longines Avigation BigEye – now with a grade 5 titanium case and striking gradient blue dial. Less susceptible to scratches and far lighter than steel, the titanium increases the original Avigation BigEye’s wearability, while the blue dial, with creamier contrasted numerals, adds an unprecedented sophistication to the piece.

In 2020, Longines launched their Spirit Collection – a seamless fusion of heritage and contemporary watchmaking.
