Since it was first launched in its current iteration in 2016, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph has been the choice of the consummate collector, who already understands exactly what the Plan-les-Ouates-based watchmaker has to offer compared to its peers. Overnight, the brand has announced a new member of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph range in a striking “Panda” dial, which delivers a little more mainstream flair to the collection.

Arriving with the same dimensions as its siblings in the collection, this latest release features a 42.5mm case that stands 13.7mm off the wrist as well as the mirror-polished Maltese cross-inspired bezel design. The angular lugs sweep down with perfectly bevelled edges, with more polish contrasting the vertically brushed flat surfaces of the case and the neatly integrated design tapering into the matching bracelet, with the additional options of a rubber or leather strap.

With 150m of water resistance and anti-magnetic properties, it’s a proper sports watch powered by the venerable in-house automatic calibre 5200, which features a 22k gold automatic winding rotor and 52 hours of power reserve. The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph “Panda” is an exciting new addition to an already well-loved collection, which with its high-contrast brushed silver and black dial will no doubt have waiting lists already growing around the world.
