The internationally renowned Japanese restaurant chain – Nobu – will arrive in Sydney later this year. Opening at Crown Sydney, this new location will be the country’s third, joining the Melbourne and Perth restaurants (also hosted at Crown sister properties).
Having made a name for itself in the US, Nobu’s Japanese fusion cuisine comes with quite the reputation. Largely due to the fact that it has won the hearts, stomachs, and palates of high-profile figures such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro (who also happens to be part-owner of this culinary empire). That is, in addition to countless other non-celebrities, of course.
According to Crown, the Nobu Sydney menu has yet to be finalised. Although several of the chain’s famed signature dishes are sure to make an appearance:
- Hiramasa Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno
- Black Cod Saikyo Miso
- and plenty more
“Sydney is one of my favourite cities and the food scene has always impressed me – the quality of the produce is stand out,” says Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the man behind the magic.
“I am looking forward to bringing Nobu to what is already one of the most interesting cities in the world.”
To date, Nobu has a total of 42 restaurants and 10 hotels across 40 cities around the world. And you’ll soon be given the opportunity to finally experience it for yourself come December.
