The best Christmas market in Sydney, bar none, has for the past few years been the annual Carriageworks Twilight Christmas Markets. The city might not quite have the same kind of hold as the elaborate Christmas markets dotted across Europe, which many people travel internationally for. But this ridiculously comprehensive Carriageworks market, which brings together over 80 of the state’s leading growers, farmers, artisans, restaurants and bars, is pretty much the creme de la creme of last-minute Christmas shopping for those who want to eat (and drink) well this holiday season.

Making up the ongoing Farmer’s Market series regularly run at Carriageworks, the Twilight Christmas Markets have been locked in for Wednesday, December 21, kicking off at 4 PM and wrapping up at 9 PM.

As per previous years, you’ve got pretty much all the fresh seasonal produce you’d need for holiday entertaining for Christmas and over the New Year’s period.

Confirmed stallholders for the free-entry farmer’s market so far include LP’s Quality Meats, pushing Christmas hams, of course, Greenhill Farm, Mimosa Valley touting its coveted lamb, Brilliant Foods for fresh and smoked seafood, Bondi Oysters, La Bastide and various cheese and dairy companies like Vannella, Willowbrae, The Pines, Country Valley and Pepe Saya.

Some of Sydney’s best bakeries will also be joining in the fun, with Flour and Stone so far confirmed alongside Sonoma, AP Bakery, Broomfields and Nonna’s Grocer.

On the drinks front, Wildflower Brewery will have a stall next to Atomic and Archie Rose. They’ll also be a bunch of restaurants with pop-ups for anyone wanting to fuel up on the day. Participants include Bar Pho, Blini Bar, Kepos St Kitchen, Chat Thai, and Bird and Ewe,

“We are delighted to once again bring together so many incredible local and regional producers from all across the state for the annual Christmas Twilight Market, offering Sydneysiders the chance to fill their Christmas table with the best in seasonal produce,” said Creative Director of Carriageworks Farmers Markets Mike McEnearney.
