  • TAG Heuer and the Australian watch publication Time+Tide have created a limited edition Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph.
  • Inspired by the landscape of the Kimberley in Western Australia, it combines a titanium case with 18K 5N rose gold plated accents.
  • The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph Sundowner Time+Tide is priced at $4,450 and will be available from November 19th at 7 AM AEDT.

First launched in 2022, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph was one of our favourite watches of the year โ€” combining utilitarian appeal with a long-lasting and accurate quartz movement. Now, homegrown watch publication Time+Tide has linked up with the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based watchmaker to create a TAG Heuer Aquaracer inspired by one of our most remote landscapes.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph Sundowner Time+Tide features a 40mm Grade 2 titanium sandblasted case, with 18K 5N rose gold plated accents that bring a touch of Kimberly-inspired warmth to the package. Rather than the Grade 2 titanium sandblasted, the collaborators have opted for a military-green fabric strap with 18K 5N rose gold plated, adding to its rugged impression.

What makes the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph such a cool watch is its in-house quartz Calibre TH50-00. The movement draws energy from solar cells hidden beneath the semi-translucent dial; yielding 11 months of power from 40 hours of light exposure, and allowing it to keep time for four years in power-saving mode. In total, the battery promises 15 years of life before needing to be changed.

In addition to the 18K 5N rose gold plated accents, this watch uniquely flaunts a Time+Tide logo on the dialโ€™s 6 oโ€™clock position, which can also be found on the solid Grade 2 titanium caseback. With 200 metres of water resistance, suffice it to say, this isnโ€™t one youโ€™ll need to be delicate with.

Following the Seiko SPB489J Prospex Alpinist Australasian Limited Edition inspired by Australiaโ€™s red centre, itโ€™s cool to see another limited edition celebrating our unique landscape. Aimed at local enthusiasts and TAG Heuer fans alike, releases like these show Australiaโ€™s rising status in the world of watch collecting.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph Sundowner Time+Tide arrives with an RRP of $4,450 and will be limited to just 250 examples. Available from November 19th at 7 AM AEDT, youโ€™ll be able to cop yours via the TAG Heuer and Time+Tide sites; Australia and New Zealand TAG Heuer boutiques; as well as Time+Tideโ€™s Melbourne and London locations.
